The Italian Football League (Lega Calcio) has launched a new online streaming service that will air three football matches per week plus additional pre- and post-match content.

Lega TV will kick-off on September 19th, with the Udinese vs Empoli match, with live coverage of two more games on Sunday (Chievo Verona-Inter and Genoa-Juventus).

The service can be accessed via PC, smartphone and tablet, at a cost of €2 per match or €3.99 for the entire weekly package.

TIM will be responsible for the distribution. Until September 28th, the operator will provide free access to Lega TV via the Premium service of its Serie A TIM app.

During the live broadcasts, viewers will be able to select the second screen mode, in order to access game stats, technical data related to the performance of the players and the areas of the field where the most interesting actions took place.

The intention is to provide a different product to that offered by pay-TV operators Sky Italia and Mediaset, in a more dynamic and interactive manner and with additional options for football fans.
