Technicolor buys The Mill

French media technology giant Technicolor is buying The Mill, a London headquartered visual effects production and post-production hours. Technicolor is paying €259 million for the assets.
The Mill, founded in 1990, has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and has a slew of creative and artistic awards under its belt. Clients in the advertising field include Honda, Coca-Cola, Gatoraid, Old Spice, Guinness, Comcast, Pepsi and Audi.
The Mill’s digital artistry is famous, not least for its special effects on ‘Gladiator’.
The Mill’s revenues grew last year by 19 per cent, to €135 million and achieving a 20 per cent EBITDA margin.
