An Ariane 5 rocket successfully delivered Brazil’s Star One-C4 broadcast satellite into its correct transfer orbit on July 15th.

This was the 66^th consecutive success for Arianespace and the third launch this year, all mentioned by the company as if to stress its ease in getting satellites into space while arch-rivals SpaceX and Russia’s Proton have badly stumbled with failures.

Star One-C4 is owned by Embratel of Brazil and was built by Space Systems/Loral, with 48 Ku-band transponders on board. It will operate from 70 degrees West and has a 15-year planned life-span.
