Indonesia’s PT Telkom is about to add 4K OTT services to subscribers to its fibre-based services.

“Customers of Indihome Fiber in Indonesia will soon be able to enjoy 4K TV service. This is a trend that is currently one of the most talked about in the technology world, and Telkom will bring it to customers’ homes,” said Dian Rachmawan, Telkom’s director of consumer services.

Consumers will need at least 50 Mbps internet connection to access 4K TV. The company expects to sign up around three million subscribers by the 2015-end. The Indihome service currently is available in 160 cities across Indonesia, reports local press.
