Netflix overhauling UI
May 21, 2015
Netflix is revamping its online interface for the first time since 2011. It is scrapping its current carousel-style layout for a design that is more in line with the user interface on its portable apps
Users will be able to browse through content by horizontally cycling through tiles, rather than having to hover their mouse cursor over the end of a row. Selecting specific episodes of a TV show and discovering information about Netflix content is also improved under the new system, with users able to expand sections with a single click.
Netflix is currently testing its new web-based layout among a select group of users, with plans to roll it out globally in June.
