April 10, 2015
maxdome, the German VoD service, has agreed a deal with The Walt Disney Company for the rights to a range of blockbuster films and new seasons of hit series, episodes of which will be made available soon after their first run.
The agreement provides maxdome subscribers new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Criminal Minds and Devious Maids one week before they are broadcast on free TV. New series from ABC Studios will be added to the maxdome package each month.
Many series will be available for purchase on maxdome the day after their US TV debut including Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and the fourth seasons of Scandal and Revenge.
The agreement also covers recent blockbusters that are available for purchase or single viewing on maxdome store shortly after their theatrical run.
