Malta: GO extends Champions League rights
March 16, 2015
GO Sports subscribers in Malta can continue to enjoy live coverage of the UEFA Champions League until 2018 following an announcement from UEFA that it has awarded the media rights for the competition to GO for a further three seasons.
In addition to eight live matches being broadcast on every match night, GO Sports customers will also be able to enjoy match highlights and a Champions League magazine programme. Through TV Anywhere, GO interactive subscribers will also be able to follow live Champions League matches being shown on GO Sports 1 and GO Sports 2 on their mobile devices.
Kurt Camilleri, Chief Commercial Officer at GO, said, “UEFA’s decision to once again award the Champions League media rights to GO highlights just how committed we are to making the investments needed to give our customers a great experience. In addition, our exclusive rights to the Italian Serie A TIM and the Barclays Premier League, as well as other top sports events such as Formula One and 6 Nations Rugby, all contribute to make GO the undisputed home of sports broadcasting in Malta.”
