November 4, 2014
Another co-founder of Swedish file-sharing website Pirate Bay has been arrested while trying to cross into Thailand from Laos. Hans Fredrik Lennart Neij, known to hackers as TiAMO, was detained in the north-eastern Thai town of Nong Khai.
He was subject to an international warrant after he was convicted in 2009 of aiding copyright infringement. The 36-year-old was convicted by a Swedish court five years ago. He and three others were given one-year sentences and ordered to pay $3.6 million. Neij absconded whilst on bail.
