March 20, 2014
In a bid to bring TV5Monde Asia a better viewing experience, TV5Monde Asia has signed a deal with Globecast to launch TV5Monde Asia HD via the Measat-3 satellite to reach homes across the Asia-Pacific region. TV5Monde Asia HD is a simulcast of the SD variant, which was also delivered via Globecast’s capacity on the Measat-3 satellite.
Globecast is providing signal delivery from TV5Monde in Paris. The channel feed is fibred to Globecast’s Hong Kong teleport for uplink onto Globecast’s multiplex on Measat-3 DVB-S2 platform.
“Globecast is honored to be involved in TV5Monde Asia HD’s milestone in this region. TV5Monde’s move to upgrade its SD channel to a HD channel shows its dedication and strong commitment to its viewers, providing quality content to its audience in the Asia Pacific region,” said Soo Yew Weng, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Globecast Asia.
