French telco SFR has started shipping a new STB using Android 4.2 and providing users with access to Google services (such as YouTube and Google Play Movies) through their TV sets.
For €3 a month, the Google Play STB can also be used to watch France’s 25 DTT channels. It provides access to DTT operators’ VoD catch-up services as well as the SFR video club – with a library of over 3,000 titles – plus radio stations through the SFR portal.
