Consumers plan Internet STBs as pay-TV device replacement

According to market intelligence firm TDG’s most recent consumer research project, Video Behavior in the Age of Quantum Media, of the 28 per cent of consumers likely to purchase an Internet set-top box (iSTB) in the next six months, 56 per cent indicate their motivation is due in some degree to their desire to use streaming video services as a replacement for their traditional pay-TV services.
