FOX Channel for Norway
June 26, 2013
FOX International Channels (FIC) has confirmed the launch of FOX in Norway starting July 1st. The new channel will replace the existing FOX Crime channel in the market, to become the new home of fan-favourites such as The Walking Dead, Da Vinci’s Demons and the upcoming American remake of The Bridge.
The move is the last in a slew of rebrands and new channel launches that FIC has executed over the past 12 months, meant to align the distribution of the flagship FOX brand across Europe. These have included moves in the UK, Greece, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
FOX is the cornerstone of FIC’s entertainment portfolio and its entry into Norway will provide local audiences a bigger, bolder and broader TV destination. Under the new name, FOX will continue to feed its Norwegian viewers American-made first-run series but broadens its schedule into new genres that reflect an ever-expanding audience.
