Real Madrid TV goes FTA DTT
June 12, 2012
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Real Madrid TV channel is to make its debut on the FTA DTT in August following the agreement between Real Madrid football team and the Spanish production company Mediapro, shareholder in the commercial TV channel La Sexta.
Real Madrid TV will take the place in the DTT line-up of the current Marca TV channel, a sports TV channel sponsored by the sports newspaper Marca, and will be made available free-to-air to all households in Madrid, capital of Spain, extending thus its potential reach.
So far, the channel was only available on pay TV through digital platforms, but now, like its counterpart in Catalonia Barca TV, will be accessible FTA and financed by advertising revenues.
