QuickPlay boosts cloud encoding for HD
May 4, 2012
QuickPlay Media, a provider of managed solutions for the distribution of video to IP-connected devices, has announced new enhancements to its OpenVideo platform that will improve encoding efficiency for delivering HD video and provide additional capacity for large customer deployments. The latest version of OpenVideo enables TV service providers to efficiently and cost-effectively deliver high volume HD multiscreen video services to customers across more than 300 different device families including smartphone, tablet and Connected TVs – with 99.9+ per cent uptime.
QuickPlay’s cloud-based OpenVideo platform eliminates the need for operators to purchase and manage their own encoding hardware, and streamlines their encoding processes, enabling them to scale their multiscreen services and support new devices as they come to market.
