November 18, 2025
At the SportsPro Media Summit in Madrid, Alex Green, MD Prime Video Sport, International, confirmed the NBA on Prime set a new viewership record for the most-watched regular season NBA game ever in Europe, outside of the NBA’s Christmas Day and Paris games.
The milestone was set during the San Antonio Spurs’ opening weekend win at the Brooklyn Nets on October 26th, the first of 29 primetime European match-ups during the NBA regular season on Prime Video.
Viewership of the NBA on Prime opening night doubleheader was also 75 per cent higher year-on-year in Europe versus the comparable games last season.
