SoftAtHome, Gemtek partnership
October 14, 2025
SoftAtHome, an independent software company for broadband, video and analytics, and Gemtek, a manufacturer of broadband hardware, have announced a new partnership to deliver operators an off-the-shelf home gateway solution powered by prplWare 4.0.
The joint solution combines Gemtek’s latest-generation Wi-Fi 7 hardware with up to 18 Gbps bandwidth, together with SoftAtHome’s suite of Value-Added Services and App Store backend. Operators will benefit from a pre-integrated platform ready to deploy, significantly reducing time-to-market.
SoftAtHome brings its multi-award-winning Smart Wi-Fi, powered by Wifi’ON, ensuring a superior customer experience through automatic adaptation, intelligent recommendations, and QoS prioritisation. Other services include Eyes’ON for analytics and speed tests, Service ID, Device ID, sustainable power management, and Mobile Backup. This best-in-class suite delivers the best Wi-Fi experience available on the market today.
All these services are deployable through Orchestr’ON, SoftAtHome’s AppStore lifecycle management backend, making the packaged solution fully future proof. This enables operators to position themselves for tomorrow’s business opportunities by offering the best value-added services today, such as cyber protection, Wi-Fi sensing, personalised QoS, and green Wi-Fi.
Gemtek provides a high-performance PON and WiFi7 hardware portfolio across multiple chipsets, all with Gemtek’s hardened prplWare 4.0.x stack. Upgrades to the latest prplWare 4.1 and future prplWare releases will be provided shortly after their release.
The solution will be demonstrated at both the Gemtek and SoftAtHome booths during the prpl Summit and Network X events in Paris this week.
“This partnership demonstrates the strength of the prpl ecosystem,” said Arnaud Bellivier de Prin, CEO of SoftAtHome. “By combining Gemtek’s high-performance hardware with our Value-Added Services, we give operators an off-the-shelf solution that accelerates service innovation and deployment in the connected home.”
“Gemtek is very happy to work with SoftAtHome, providing the full potential of prplWare to operators”, James Lee, CEO of Gemtek Technology, stated. “By using SoftAtHome’s Value-Added Services on top of our full range of prpl-enabled platforms, together we provide a complete, reliable, open, and innovative solution that simplifies service delivery and enhances the customer experience.”
