Amazon’s broadband-by-satellite Project Kuiper rolled out its next batch of satellites on September 12th ready for a planned launch next week, likely on September 25th subject to the usual weather and last-minute technical needs.

The 27-craft payload, also known as Kuiper Atlas 3, is part of Amazon’s effort to quickly deploy its satellite Internet constellation and meet its Federal Communications Commission (FCC) deadline to have half the constellation in orbit by July 2026.

The launch will be handled by United Launch Alliance’s giant Atlas V rocket, and take place from Cape Canaveral.

Project Kuiper also updated its news flow saying that there are more than 80 of its satellites now ready for launch. “Processing and integration underway for our next three missions, with two payloads fully stacked ahead of encapsulation.”
