Viavi, Technetix product partnership
September 27, 2024

Technetix has announced a partnership with Viavi Solutions to develop a new auto alignment tool to speed up installations and enhance service quality of cable outside plant. The solution will combine signal analyser functionality with network equipment configuration capabilities for accurate downstream and upstream auto alignment based on Viavi’s OneExpert (ONX) portfolio. The tool is scheduled to go to market in 2025.
The two companies said they “are delighted to team up for this project which addresses the industry’s growing appetite for unified solutions”. The tool’s streamlined functionality offers accurate auto-alignment alongside network diagnostic profiling to enable more agile and far-reaching testing and maintenance processes, save kit space, minimise troubleshooting time, and ensure ease-of-use for both experienced and new technicians.
Koji Okamoto, Viavi’s Vice President and General Manager of Fibere and Access Business Unit, commented: “We are excited to partner with Technetix to deliver this new, easy-to-use solution that addresses the need for increased bandwidth driven by the proliferation of remote PHY and other distributed access architecture (DAA). This closed loop automated tool will help operators scale the deployment of HFC networks quickly and without sacrificing quality.”
Paul Broadhurst, Technetix Founder, President and Group CEO, added: “The Technetix and Viavi solution is a game changer in fast network configuration, allowing precise alignment of both upstream as well as downstream paths on the network.”
