Germans embrace DTV

The proportion of digital households varies with reception methods: 95.1 per cent of terrestrial households have moved to digital TV compared with 86 per cent in 2007. The remaining analogue terrestrial channels will be switched off by the end of this year.
The proportion of digital satellite households rose eight percentage points from 2007 figures to 65.7 per cent, while cable is clearly lagging with just 21 per cent of cable customers using digital reception.
