Marvel’s Mackie to star in & produce Netflix movie

Anthony Mackie, best known for portraying Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to star and produce a new movie for Netflix.
The futuristic sci-fi show, entitled Outside The Wire, sees a drone pilot sent into a deadly militarised zone where he finds himself working for an android officer tasked to locate a doomsday device before the insurgents do.
Production companies Inspire Entertainemnt, 42 and Automatik are all involved in the show, which is co-written by Rob Yescombe and Rowan Athale, and will be directed by Mikael Håfström.
Mackie is also set to play the Falcon character in an exclusive Avengers spin-off show for the Disney+ streaming service.
