Huawei Video to integrate Studio+ content
September 26, 2018
From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
Chinese OTT streaming platform, Huawei Video, which has launched in Spain and Italy, is to integrate premium content from Studio+, the short-form series SVoD mobile platform which was axed in France by Canal+ Group in July 2018.
This follows a commercial partnership with Canal’s distribution subsidiary Thema. Huawei’s film and series platform, which is available exclusively on Honor-branded tablets and smartphones, has already signed content deals with Spanish groups RTVE and Atresmedia, Canadian eOne, Euro MCN Zoomin, as well as Australian sport contents distributor Inverleigh.
