July 3, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Telefónica’s pay-TV platform currently has over 10 million viewers a day, according to the company’s data pulled from its STBs which are present in almost 4 million homes.
The average TV consumption on the platform is just over 200 minutes a day, with 20 per cent of this time dedicated to watching catch-up TV content.
More and more viewers are watching TV via VoD and catch-up services. Almost 6 million use VoD and 5.2 million have used the 7-day catch-up function.
The STB is the main device to access the platform, but some 3.2 million also use a mobile phone, tablet or Smart TV to watch content.
