MY-HD, a DTH service broadcasting over the MENA region, has changed its CEO again.

New boss is board member and co-founder of the service Carmen Chen, who takes over from Samir Safir, who replaced Cliff Nelson, a former senior staffer at Dubai-based Showtime, and who left the broadcaster in July 2015.

My-HD’s core offering is a low-pay, HD TV service, although the past few years have seen new thrusts emerge with the launch (in Jan-2016) of a My-Asia bundle and more recently a Maghreb package of channels which incorporates a batch of French-language for the North African market.

On her appointment, Chen said: “We are determined to take MY-HD to the level that we sought since we started the company. I believe that the company’s low cost module is the best in the region especially when slow economic growth affects customer purchasing power. One of the most important milestones was adding seven new premium channels from Fox Networks Group including National Geographic, Fox Rewayat and Nat Geo Wild. The best is yet to come within the coming few months when we will take our customers to a new world of DTH home entertainment.”
