SpaceX is looking to make the delayed launch of Madrid-based satellite operator’s Hispasat 30W-6 craft at 12.33am tonight (05.33 GMT, March 6th) when a two-hour launch window opens.

The satellite was originally expected to launch last week, but a problem with pressurisation of the nose cone fairing delayed the lift-off.

The launch will be SpaceX’s fifth launch this year to date, and the 50^th overall. The satellite, built by Space Systems/Loral will serve the Americas with extra capacity in Ku-band and new C-band capacity.

SpaceX is planning to recover the Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage onto a floating barge.
