Music streaming service Pandora, now with pay-radio operator SiriusXM seeking regulatory approval to be a major 16 per cent investor, is closing access in Australia and New Zealand effective immediately. Pandora opened for business in Australia and New Zealand in 2012.

Reportedly, Pandora has some 5 million registered users in the two countries.

Pandora is undergoing some significant changes. Recently its co-founder and CEO Tim Westergren left the business in addition to the broadcaster’s CFO and CMO.

SiriusXM has committed to investing $480 million in Pandora.
