Virgin to auction top EPG slots
May 22, 2017
Virgin Media is planning to auction the rights to some of the best slots in its TV channel menu. The move, backed by its parent company, Liberty Global, is an attempt to open up a new source of income, according to a report in The Telegraph.
Virgin Media said it will be open for all broadcasters to bid for slots on its EPG, but reserved the right to disqualify adult and other niche channels from high-profile positions.
