From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
French commercial broadcaster TF1 revealed at the TF1 Campus innovation conference that it will launch a dedicated VR app, branded MyTF1VR, in April 2017, marking its first foray into VR. The app will feature a line-up of VR-produced content covering sport, news and entertainment.
TF1 will also produce an original short film called Sergent James. Viewers will be able to play a part in the film by taking on the role of the imaginary monster that a child believes lurks under his bed.
Another VR experience related to the next season of talent show The Voice was also confirmed.
