My5 joins Chromecast
December 12, 2016
Channel 5, in partnership with Google, has made its on demand service, My5, available on Chromecast, Google’s media streaming device. This will allow viewers to stream My5’s content from their phones or tablets direct to their TVs.
Available immediately, viewers will be able to watch their favourite My5 content, including a range of My5 exclusives and box sets in addition to programmes from across the Channel 5 family – Channel 5, 5STAR, 5USA and Spike – simply by plugging in the Chromecast device to their TV’s HDMI port.
Edward Kenney, Head of Chromecast Partnerships, UK at Google said: “Channel 5 has built a great VoD offering, and with Google Chromecast, viewers can stream everything they love from My5 to the big screen, directly from their phone or tablet. Users will be delighted with the addition of My5 to the broad list of services already available on Chromecast.”
