Adam Buxton launching Successpod on Audible

June 4, 2026

Audible, a provider of spoken word entertainment, has announced Successpod, the first Audible Original podcast from award-winning podcaster Adam Buxton launching on June 11th.

In a podcast landscape dominated by influencers, achievement metrics, looksmaxxing and visual optimisation, does Adam Buxton have what it takes to be a ‘success’ in the modern world? Spoiler: probably not. But he’s going to try anyway.

Across six episodes, join Buxton on his comedy quest for modern podcasting relevance. Successpodsees Adam wrestle with his mid-life crisis, grapple with his existential anxiety, and stare resolutely into his navel – all via the medium of sketches, songs, and conversations with his funny (and annoyingly successful) friends. And yes, in between, he has conversations with his dog, Rosie.

The series, produced by Mindhouse Studios, features an exceptional line-up of guests joining Adam on his quest for relevance. Comedian Romesh Ranganathan dispenses advice on staying visible in an increasingly visual podcast industry, while documentarian Louis Theroux helps Adam explore whether he needs to get more ‘doomy’ to compete. The brilliantly unpredictable comedian Sam Campbell accuses Adam of being a ‘mad old king’ while discussing creativity and success. Actor Jessica Knappett encourages Adam to embrace the metaphysical if he wants to be cool. Kathy Burke questions why she’s been recruited to discuss ‘wellness’ and comedian Guz Khan dispenses wisdom nuggets on conspiracy theories, wealth, and what really matters in life.

Buxton said: “It’s been a lot of fun to do a purely comedic show/podcast again. It felt like I had a lot of silliness that needed to get out, though that could also be a middle-aged gut issue. Successpod has enabled me to do all my favourite things in one package – record sketches with stupid voices, laugh with friends, make ridiculous music and talk to my dog-friend Rosie. I hope it cheers up around 100 people, but not more. It’s not good to get too successful…”

Successpod joins Audible’s growing slate of Audible Original comedy podcasts including From The Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast with Steve Coogan, Mel & Sue Should Know By Now, and The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast hosted by Roisin Conaty.

Produced by Mindhouse Studios for Audible Originals. Successpod, an Audible Original podcast, will be available on Audible on June 11th.
