Tulipop, Toonz Media to launch Tulipop: Magical Seasons at Cannes

Tulipop Studios has announced Toonz Media Group as the international sales agent for its new 70’ feature film Tulipop: Magical Seasons. The film launches at the Cannes Film Market this week with a special screening for buyers at the Lerins Club on May 13th at 1pm.
An exclusive Tulipop cinema experience celebrating the wonder of the holidays, Tulipop: Magical Seasons brings together two enchanting festive adventures Pumpkin Pip and A Midwinter Tale. Especially tailored for young audiences and families, the unique format weaves the newest stories of the beloved Tulipop heroes into one magical journey.
Toonz Media Group will be presenting the film for presale to buyers and distributors at the Cannes Film Market. The film sweeps audiences across two seasons on the magical island of Tulipop – from the innocent spookiness of Halloween to the wonder of midwinter – giving buyers the rare opportunity to programme both festive windows from a single title.
Underpinned by commissions from all Nordic public broadcasters and Iceland’s leading cinema chain, Sambíó, Toonz is now seeking international presales across theatrical, broadcast, and distribution to bring this enchanting film to family audiences worldwide.
In Tulipop: Magical Seasons, Tulipop heroes Fred, Gloomy, Bubble, and Maddy discover the wonders of fall and winter, as they befriend an endearing little pumpkin named Pip and set out on a midwinter quest to save the season’s magic, using kindness, imagination, and bravery. The film also features a song – Share or Scare – composed by Icelandic singing star Daði Freyr. The hugely-popular singing star is best-known for his song Think About Things which has received 53 million views on YouTube and over 160 million streams on Spotify.
