Norigin Media releases React Native library

April 15, 2026

Norigin Media has announced the release of its React Native library, enabling an intuitive remote-control navigation solution across Apple TV and Android TV native platforms. The open-source Norigin Spatial Navigation tool previously supported web-based Smart TV apps on Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Vizio and Hisense V devices.

The free and unified technology stack allows software engineers to build Smart TV apps with intuitive directional navigation between content assets using remote controls. The Norigin Spatial Navigation library is already used by leading broadcasters and OTT services worldwide developing in-house Smart TV and game-console applications.

“Standardised and open-source technologies help broadcasters save time and costs while developing cross-platform streaming apps, where OS fragmentation and multiple app stores remain a challenge,” said Ajey Anand, CEO of Norigin Media. “CTV app development is complicated, and our remote-control and key-navigation solution helps simplify these challenges while enabling consistent UI/UX. As platforms like Apple TV, Roku, Samsung Tizen and others continue to evolve, we are delivering tools that support efficient OTT application development.”

Broadcasters and OTT service owners can now leverage Norigin Media’s React Native library to develop single-code applications for both Apple TV and Android TV, reducing development complexity and accelerating time-to-market without relying on platform-specific native development. The library also supports improved accessibility and navigation patterns across devices.
