“We’re excited to continue our work with Google to make it easier for people everywhere to find and watch the entertainment content they love,” commented Jared Grusd, CEO of Gracenote. “Our meticulously crafted, highly structured data will help Google power more intuitive, AI-driven content discovery, and this partnership is a major step toward creating better experiences for consumers everywhere.”
Gracenote’s curated, edited and human-verified data plays a key role in the entertainment ecosystem, especially in the age of AI-powered content discovery. Using editorial judgment to enhance quality, machine-driven workflows to improve speed and human-in-the-loop processes to maximise scale, Gracenote maintains a comprehensive and trusted collection of TV, movie and sports data. This trove of metadata has been used to power engaging entertainment experiences and visually rich user interfaces for decades.
This multi-year, strategic partnership between Gracenote and Google will continue to enhance organisation and accuracy of video and sports information. As more people gravitate to AI-powered discovery experiences, this collaboration will ensure Google users can find relevant and useful entertainment-related information.
