ANGA COM 2026: Federal Minister Wildberger, Municipalities Summit, Round Tables

December 3, 2025

ANGA COM is set to be a huge success next year – with even more highlights and new features: Dr. Karsten Wildberger, Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation, will deliver the keynote speech at the start of the show on May 19th 2026 and will also take part in the subsequent opening discussion, the Gigabit Summit. At the Gigabit Summit, the CEOs of German telecommunications companies traditionally discuss the current challenges facing the industry. The Federal Minister’s confirmation underlines ANGA COM’s role as the leading international show for broadband, media and connectivity, bringing together the entire telecommunications industry with the digital media world. The event will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Cologne/Germany.

The third day of the show, May 21st 2026, will also be particularly enhanced next year. It will be designated as the “Theme Day Municipalities” where leading municipal network operators will discuss the specific opportunities and challenges of fiber optic roll-out in a practical manner. Conference topics include resilience, data centers, digital sovereignty and broadband subsidies. Prior to this, on May 20th – especially for visitors from abroad and from the investor target group – the ANGA COM format “International FTTH Summit”, which last took place in 2023, will be reactivated and expanded.

As a new, interactive conference feature, the “ANGA COM Round Tables” will be launched next year. Round table discussions on particularly practical topics will be held for in-depth exchanges in smaller groups. Here, focused discussions can take place with innovation leaders, the respective moderators (table captains) and other industry partners. The new format places particular emphasis on interactivity and practical relevance. Further information, especially on topics and participation requirements, will follow in early 2026.

Stand allocation for both exhibition halls is currently in full swing: More than five months before the start, exhibitor registrations for already 80 per cent of the stand space of 2025 have been received.
