Content Management launching Owning Eastbourne docuseries
November 13, 2025
Connect Management has announced the launch of Owning Eastbourne, a new seven-part factual entertainment series chronicling the reinvention of non-league football club Eastbourne Borough FC under its chairman, entrepreneur Simon Leslie.
Narrated and produced by Mike Birch – the voice behind Premier League Champions Story and a long-standing producer across PGA and various golf broadcasts – and edited by Dave Hill with production by John Wood, the documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of one of English football’s most ambitious transformation stories, a non-league side reshaping its identity on and off the pitch.
Filmed across the 2024–25 season, Owning Eastbourne follows Leslie as he balances running a global media business with leading a football club’s resurgence. The series captures the drama, decisions and personal investment behind Eastbourne Borough’s record-breaking campaign, which delivered the club’s highest points tally in its 59-year history and took it to the brink of promotion.
Benjy Leslie, Founder and CEO of Connect Management, commented: “We wanted to make something that feels authentic and emotionally charged, a portrait of football that’s as much about purpose and leadership as results.”
Owning Eastbourne is available in the US on ReachTV from 10 November, and will have a global release on Eastbourne Borough FC’s official YouTube channel on November 15th. The series is a Connect Management production.
