WBITVP, Quebecor Content adapting 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing

October 9, 2025

Ahead of MIPCOM, Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) has announced the first international format adaptation of 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing with Quebecor Content in Canada. A 12-episode series will air on TVA in Spring 2026, produced by Pixcom.

24 in 24: Last Chef Standing is part culinary marathon, part social experiment, with 24 chefs facing 24 challenges across 24 relentless hours. In eight rolling three-hour shifts, contestants take on tasks that test speed, artistry, and adaptability, producing dishes designed to impress the hosts and a lineup of guest judges. With exhaustion mounting, twists and curveballs make even the simplest techniques feel impossible. One by one, chefs are eliminated until only four remain. Dead on their feet, the finalists must summon every last ounce of energy and skill to deliver the dish of their lives and take home the prize.

Originally created by Lando Entertainment for Food Network in the US in 2024, the second season aired in May, 2025 and saw ratings grow by 15% on season one. A third season is confirmed to return in 2026.

André Renaud, WBITVP’s GVP of Format and Finished Sales, said: “Having only brought 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing to buyers at MIPCOM this time last year, the series has gone from strength to strength, with a second hit season in the USA, and a third on the way. It’s incredible to add to that success with this first international version going to Canada with Quebecor Content, whose strong track record for format adaptation makes them the ideal home for the series. The show is gruelling and relentless but with high entertainment value, and I’m confident that the team from Pixcom will know how best to not only celebrate the great cooking talent and cuisine of Québec and Canada but also deliver a thrilling ride for viewers next year.”

“By securing the rights to this dynamic and distinctive format, Quebecor Content reaffirms its commitment to bold, high-impact productions that resonate with audiences. Distributed by WBITVP, the concept captures the raw intensity and fast-paced energy of a professional kitchen, delivering gripping and emotionally charged television moments. We are proud to collaborate with Pixcom, a trusted leader among culinary competition producers, to bring this major production to life,” added Sylvie Langlois, Senior Director, Format Acquisition and International Development, Quebecor Content.

“We are tremendously proud to produce this wild culinary competition that pushes every limit”, says Nicola Merola and Charles Lafortunes, Executive Producers, Pixcom. “24 in 24: Last Chef Standing celebrates endurance, talent, and creativity, while reflecting Pixcom’s bold spirit in taking on unique and spectacular formats. It is a privilege to collaborate with Quebecor Content and WBITVP to bring such an electrifying show to Quebec’s audience.”

The deal was brokered by Harry Gamsu, WBITVP’s US-based VP Development.
