Switzerland: Sunrise, NL ice hockey extend partnership
August 20, 2025

Following the extension of the media partnership with the National League (NL) means that Switzerland’s top ice hockey league will remain a key feature of MySports until the end of the 2034/35 season. MySports offers Swiss ice-hockey fans access to live NL games and highlights, in-depth expert analysis, documentaries and background information on the ice-hockey stars.
MySports is the only fee-based sports offering in Switzerland that is fully integrated into virtually all TV platforms (Sunrise TV, Swisscom TV, Salt TV, Quickline TV, Netplus TV and 12 others); it is available on the major TV-streaming platforms (such as Zattoo, Teleboy and Sky); and it also offers the market its own customised streaming app for hockey fans. In the free-TV segment, MySports was the first channel to establish partnerships with private media partners in all three regions of the country.
Denis Vaucher, CEO of National League AG, commented: “Our partnership with Sunrise and MySports is a success story and we’re all very much looking forward to its long-term continuation. With MySports, Sunrise has understood how to create new formats and open up new distribution channels, and it therefore lives up to ice hockey’s high status among the Swiss population. With MySports, Sunrise is our dream partner – today and in the future.”
André Krause, CEO of Sunrise, added: “MySports is hockey. And the decision made by the National League is a wonderful vote of confidence for us and great motivation to continue doing everything we can for the sport. We bring ice hockey even closer to the fans via TV, app, social media and partner channels. And in the coming years we’re looking forward to continuing to develop MySport content for our subscribers with top presenters, experts, editorial and production teams.”
