Sobacı reappointed Director General of TRT

TRT Director General Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahid Sobacı has been reappointed as Director General for a further four-year term, continuing his leadership at the helm of Turkey’s public broadcaster.
TRT is also a member of EBU Sister Unions the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), where Sobacı has been President since 2023, the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), as well as various international broadcasting organisations such as the Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM), the Mediterranean Center for Audiovisual Communication (CMCA), and the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB).
