July 10, 2025

Textron Aviation, a Textron company, has announced an additional high-speed internet connectivity solution for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ following the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) issuance of AeroMech’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Starlink high-speed internet connectivity. AeroMech’s STC utilises Starlink’s constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide more reliable connectivity over land, water and remote areas, where traditional in-flight Wi-Fi may not have service.

Textron Aviation announced an additional high-speed internet connectivity solution for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ following the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) issuance of AeroMech’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Starlink high-speed internet connectivity.

“We invest in product upgrades based on customer feedback, and they have been asking for the best in-flight connectivity options available in aviation today,” said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, Customer Support. “We continue to expand our list of connectivity upgrades available for our customers. Offering Starlink for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ adds another product to the list of what’s possible when you upgrade your aircraft with Textron Aviation.”

Customers can schedule the upgrade for installation at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and select International Service Centers. AeroMech’s STC utilises a Starlink Aviation Kit, consisting of an Aero Terminal (Antenna), Power Supply Unit (PSU), two Wireless Access Points (WAPs), harnessing and only requires power input from the aircraft.
