Aprecomm strengthens data security with GDPR compliance, SOC 2 security certification
March 18, 2025
Aprecomm has further enhanced its data security processes by achieving GDPR compliance and SOC 2 certification.
“Building on our encryption methods, these achievements ensure that we continue to operate at the highest level of data privacy, safeguarding our service provider customers and their subscribers by handling their data securely and transparently according to internationally established and recognised standards,” said Aprecomm.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance refers to following a set of data protection rules established by the European Union to ensure the privacy and security of personal data. It applies to any organisation—whether based in the EU or not—that processes the personal data of individuals residing in the EU.
SOC 2 (System and Organisation Controls 2) is a security certification that measures an organisation’s controls and processes for protecting sensitive data. It is particularly relevant for companies in the technology and cloud computing sectors and businesses that handle customer data. SOC 2 is designed to ensure that service providers meet strict criteria for data security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy.
