Whisper appoints Lancaster as CTO

The Whisper Group, a production company specialising in creative storytelling for sports, documentaries, branded content unscripted entertainment, and eSports and events, has appointed Richard Lancaster as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Lancaster, who will start at Whisper later in March, has impressive and extensive experience in helping deliver some of the biggest and most iconic sporting, cultural, national and international events for broadcasters and streamers. These include five Wimbledon Championships, two Royal Weddings, two Royal Funerals, Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, four Glastonbury Festivals, Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, as well as delivering for rights holders such as UEFA, Premier League and Six Nations. He has helped deliver some of the world’s biggest sporting events, with Roland Garros, the US Open and the NFL’s Super Bowl coverage amongst his credits.
Throughout his career, including three years at Prime Video, Lancaster has garnered a reputation for embracing and using the latest technological developments and systems to create the best possible outcomes, with a focus on pragmatism, quality and delivery across multiple European markets and the US.
Lancaster will use his substantial knowledge and expertise to further enhance Whisper’s ability to offer and implement best-in-class technical solutions for rights holders, broadcasters, streamers, commercial partners, and major events right across the sports and entertainment spectrum.
