France: M6+ on TNT in HbbTV
January 9, 2025
M6 Group is continuing to develop its M6+ streaming platform and is extending its accessibility to connected televisions receiving DTT, thanks to HbbTV technology. M6+ will be accessible in France via the M6, W9 and 6ter channels and will provide free access to the entire programme catalogue.
Compatible with HbbTV 2.0 televisions (post-2021), the service is now available on LG connected TVs, and will reach 85 per cent of the compatible television set base by the end of 2025.
M6 Group says it is the first private group to launch an AVoD platform via HbbTV, thus helping to strengthen the modernisation of DTT, for the benefit of the public.
M6+ is also available on iOS, Android, the web, and from partners Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom, Free, Canal, Molotov, as well as on connected TVs Samsung, LG, Apple TV, Fire TV, Philips, and Hisense.
