October 10, 2024

The National Hockey League (NHL) and its international media partners will once again bring live game broadcasts in prime time to hockey fans in Europe for the seventh straight year. During the 2024-25 season, a record 46 NHL Saturday presented by Fastenal and NHL Sunday presented by Fastenal games will be delivered to fans in more than 30 countries and territories, starting on October 12th when Anze Kopitar and the LA Kings face off against David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins in Boston.

Originally introduced in 2018, NHL Saturday and NHL Sunday broadcast windows were created in an effort to provide more games in popular time slots to a dedicated fanbase abroad. The NHL and its international media partners have steadily increased the offering of NHL Saturday and NHL Sunday games to meet the growing appetite globally for hockey and the League’s biggest stars.

Participating international media partners include Viaplay Group & MTV3 in Finland; Viaplay Group and TV10 in Sweden; Viaplay Group and TV3 in Norway; Viaplay Group in Poland, PremierSports in the U.K.; TV6 & Go3 in the Baltics; Sky Sports in Germany and Austria; Nova Sport in Czechia and Slovakia; MySports in Switzerland and Liechtenstein; ESPN in the Netherlands; Sport TV in Portugal; Max Sport in Bulgaria; Setanta in Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan; and Arena Sports in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Slovenia. NHL game feeds produced specifically for European viewers of NHL Saturday and NHL Sunday programming windows help enhance the viewing experience.
