VeEX launches next-gen Optical Channel Checker
September 25, 2024
VeEX, a global player in innovative test and measurement solutions for next-generation, high speed networks, has introduced the world’s first portable optical test solution to incorporate Near Field Communications technology (NFC). The FX92 DWDM Optical Channel Checker (OCC) with NFC technology (patent pending) enables seamless communication with your mobile device to collect test results and share customised channel tables with a simple TAP.
The FX92’s new ergonomic and future-proofing design incorporates a large, high-resolution, capacitive touchscreen that allows users to just swipe to switch between settings and easy-to-understand measurement views: summary, bar graph, channel table, or tiles to view all active channels with total power, peak frequency/wavelength, and Pass/Fail status.
Key features include:
- DWDM Frequency spectrum: 191.00 – 196.25 THz (C-Band)
- Brighter display for indoor or outdoor work environment
- Long battery life to support a full day of work
- Robust, handheld, and lightweight designed for tough work environments
“As DWDM extends its reach from the Core deeper to the edge to support Distribution and Access networks, low-cost tools are needed for service technicians to accurately identify and validate the DWDM signals,” said Nancy Lee, Director of Product Management, Fibre Optics at VeEX. “Simply turn on the FX92, connect the fiber and within seconds view the active channels then Tap and Go.”
