Intelsat adds Euronews to FAST channel lineup
September 16, 2024
Euronews is latest broadcaster to bring FAST channels to the Intelsat Galaxy 19 (G-19) platform. The international news channel provides new content with a pan-European perspective to over 400 million households across 160 countries in 17 different languages.
Euronews English and Euronews Spanish are now available to G-19 viewers in addition to the WeDo Big Stories channel, which launched on G-19 earlier in 2024.
Most viewers watch FAST content through an internet connection and connected TV. Satellite is now playing a key role in distribution by reaching all viewers, including those who are without a reliable broadband connection and those who do not have a connected device. Intelsat’s G-19 provides broadcasters with a satellite platform for FAST channel distribution and is an option for broadcasters looking to expand their FAST channel distribution beyond connected devices, providing access to an audience that is already watching free content.
