Electric Entertainment, the LA-based production and distribution company, and BluTV, the SVoD platform for Turkish and Arabic-speaking audiences, have entered into an agreement to license five of Electric’s franchised series. The deal includes SVoD rights to the recently launched original SYFY series The Ark, Amazon Freevee’s original series Leverage: Redemption, the episodic crime series, Almost Paradise, and the two top rated fantasy adventures, The Librarians, and The Outpost. The deal was negotiated by Nolan Pielak, SVP, International Distribution for Electric Entertainment and Deniz Şaşmaz Oflaz, CEO, BluTV.
Pielak commented: “Our programmes have cultivated a dedicated fan base worldwide, expanding to new platforms and channels everywhere. BluTV is the perfect partner for us to bring each of our shows to new audiences in Turkey.”
Şaşmaz Oflaz offered: “Each of these original series produced and created by Electric Entertainment has enjoyed long, successful runs with a substantial viewership and a devoted fan base following. What a wonderful line-up of programming to offer our viewers.”
Also included in the deal are two seasons of the Civil War period series, Mercy Street.
