Movistar, DAZN F1 deal under fire

Spanish regulatory body CNMC has opened a disciplinary file against Movistar for the Formula 1 deal signed with DAZN in 2021 for three seasons (2021-2023) over a possible breach of competition rules.
The CNMC states that, with the deal, Movistar would have failed to abide by the deal limits imposed on the company for the acquisition of Canal Plus, limits that recently have come to an end. In the next three months, the CNMC will make a decision om whether to fine Movistar or dismiss the case. The company already faced a €6 million fine for putting a permanent clause in the Fusión offer some months ago.Other posts by :
