BBC acquires new Pretty Little Liars

The BBC has acquired Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin from Warner Bros Television and Alloy Entertainment. The series is the latest success in the hit Pretty Little Liars horror franchise.
The series stars a new generation of Liars: Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles and Maia Reficco. Also starring Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Eric Johnson, Alex Aiono, and Lea Salonga.
Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: “Described as one of the best horror TV shows of the past two decades when it launched on HBO Max earlier this year, BBC viewers can expect thrills and chills from this dark and twisty addition to the iconic franchise”.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is co-created by executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and co-executive producer Lindsay Calhoon Bring. The series is produced by Aguirre-Sacasa’s Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television. I. Marlene King (who developed the original Pretty Little Liars), Michael Grassi, Caroline Baron, and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are also executive producers of the series, which is based upon Alloy’s bestselling series of books by Sara Shepard.
All episodes of new drama series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin come to BBC iPlayer as a boxset on October 28th.
