A+E Networks names Sanchez SVP Digital Distribution

A+E Networks Global Content Sales has announced that Carlos Sanchez has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Digital Distribution for Global Content Sales. The news was announced by Mark Garner, EVP of Content Sales and Business Development, to whom Sanchez will be reporting.
In his new role, Sanchez will drive growth of the company’s evolving, forward-moving digital content business, securing licensing agreements for A+E Networks’ library of scripted and non-scripted programming to SVoD and AVoD platforms. His team is also responsible for identifying new opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability for A+E’s content via emerging technologies and delivery systems including FAST Channels, as well as establishing and enhancing relationships with domestic and global digital distribution partners with the intention of extending A+E’s brands and products outside of the US market.
“Carlos joins A+E Networks with a vast depth of experience in the digital distribution business,” said Garner. “He has a profound knowledge of the complexities of emerging platforms, and has proven himself a leader and an innovator when it comes to identifying and securing new revenue opportunities with domestic and global partners. We’re fortunate that Carlos is joining our team during such an exciting period of growth in this area of our business.”
Sanchez comes to A+E Networks after serving as Vice President of Global Distribution and Co-Productions at Legendary Television. Prior to this, he served in various distribution and marketing roles at Warner Bros in the US and in Latin America.
