Little Dot Studios acquires 500+ hours of content from Abacus
February 24, 2022
The package will add over 100 hours to Real Stories’ offering, Little Dot Studios’ home of quality documentaries and real-life stories, including BAFTA award winning Nick Broomfield’s full back catalogue featuring titles such as critically acclaimed Soldier Girl and Aileen: Life & Death of a Serial Killer.
This acquisition forms part of Little Dot Studios’ strategy to continue to grow its existing catalogue, currently consisting of over 6000 titles, with more quality scripted and unscripted content. Real Stories also recently acquired Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney’s series Rolling Stone: Stories From The Edge and worked with Oscar-winning documentary director, Orlando von Einsiedel, to bring his first scripted film, Into Dust, to a global audience. These titles join other classic Oscar, Emmy, BAFTA and Peabody-winning documentaries on the Real Stories channel, which has recently surpassed 5 million subscribers, including films by award-winning production companies such as Kartemquin Films and True Vision Productions.
