Ocean Blue Software acquires EKT’s Advanced Media Group

Ocean Blue Software (OBS) and EKT have agreed terms for the transfer of EKT’s Athens based Advanced Media Group to OBS with immediate effect. This team has more than a decade’s experience in streaming video, media players and browser-based solutions.
“This agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of OBS, further increasing our scale and competitiveness.” said Paul Martin CEO of OBS. “Not only does this team have an outstanding track record in delivering complex large-scale projects, it has built deep expertise in all forms of streaming which are crucial to the future of our business. I would like to welcome the team to OBS and we look forward to working together on some of the exciting projects we are planning.”
Richard Smith, CEO of EKT, added: “EKT is very proud of all of its team members and our Athens group has played an essential role in the evolution of EKT. In this fast changing world, we see the Athens team thriving under the wings of OBS, where EKT will continue to benefit from their skills and talent. We have worked closely with OBS for many years and the integration of this team will expand the areas in which OBS supports us.”
The change is effective immediately and part of the team are already driving forward OBS’s technology roadmap.
